Transit Tracker - Boston App Reviews

Wanted to use this for the MBTA rail. I gave up after about 10 minutes. Couldnt tell which direction the next train was going from the table. The map view uses a tiny bus icon for the train which is hard to see/find it is so small. Also no way to tell which directions it is traveling unless you wait for it to move. No information about trains, such as the train number. I have no idea what the home view was trying to tell me. Ads in the free version are intrusive enough to make it not usable, even just to try it out.

It actually gives times of when buses are arriving! Best app Ive found so far so I dont have to stand I the cold aimlessly waiting for a bus!

Not user friendly. Reliable times but you cant easily find/determine which route to take.

This app doesnt have "real time" & I thought I missed my bus a few times because of it & The trip planner is EXTREMELY helpful. Accurate app overall but the "real time" is needed for this to be a 5 star app.

Skip this app if you use the RedLine. Charles/MGH Station is non existent in this app. It lists Alewife trains as a search option but has no times available. Braintree and Ashmont bound trains arent on this app at all. So disappointing!

This looks like a terrific app. But the promise doesnt hold past the first day or so of usage. Serious problems, in no particular order: Counting down seconds until arrival for a bus just doesnt reflect the lack of accuracy in the MBTA data. Yes, its kind of neat, but in the end its illusory. I still have no idea how apps using the same data can differ so in their estimates, but this one seems wrong more often than the others I have. And, most inconveniently, this app has the most intrusive ads Ive yet come across in any iOS app, ever. Ive had to kill the app numerous times because an app wont dismiss - and I wont pay $5 just to lessen pain. If this worked as it promised, Id love to rate it more highly - but cannot in its current state.

In my experience the timing of buses and trains is way off in 75% of cases. So whats the point?

This app is the worst. The timings are inaccurate. It gives you a time then suddenly jumps to a later time and makes you late for EVERYTHING!!!

Its not a very intuitive app. Theres no clear way to use it. Sometimes it makes sense sometimes it doesnt... If I need space on my phone this will be the 1st app to go.

App gets stuck on your last access and does not reset to current date/time. Silver Line not in Subway list. Pretty lame app.

I cannot use the app since I want location services on only while using the app, not "always." The way around this is to purchase the $4.99 upgrade to the Pro version (which I am willing to do), but there is a glitch which renders the upgrade inaccessible.

The only thing this app does is tell you only a few morning times the train leaves and does not truly map out the destination or help you. Useless do not use

It doesnt even come up with bus stops. It came up with 3 stops for one bus route near me and nothing else.

I am in the middle of Boston with many buses and train stations within a few blocks... but the app says there is no transportation around me. When I put in my destination address it told me there is no route even though I know at least 3 ways to get there. This app doesnt work at all.

Running iOS 9.2. App crashes immediately after opening

This app has some great features and the data seems accurate. But the most important feature doesnt seem to work at all. The App always thinks Im in a totally different part of town than where I am and I have to search for my bus line and stop. That shouldnt be necessary. Very disappointing.

Cant get info for a particular stop, cant see where the bus currently is. Full-screen commercial starts playing before long..
